The NII team lead by Professor Kae Nemoto has world-leading expertise in the theory of distributed quantum computation and quantum communication including their design from the individual devices to full-scale architectures. We have a track record in determining the strict device requirements necessary for such applications (both analytically and through simulation). We collaborate extensively with experimental groups working with NV centres in diamond, superconducting circuits & hybrid systems (Vienna, NTT), as well having extensive links to other theoretical groups.
